 Almost a year after op.

My foot, without its arthritic joint, has at last settled down to something that feels and looks like normality. But the stiff fused toe joint seems to be causing knock-on effects (though admittedly the toe would have become rigid in time anyway because of arthritic changes).

My helpful osteopath has found that some vertebrae have swivelled a bit and suspects that my changed gait could be the cause. He has worked on my foot, making it feel rather more flexible, and vertebrae have been persuaded to return to where they should be.

I am fortunate in having a gentle and careful osteopath with a lot of experience, who has treated the knock-on effect of bunion operations before. He particularly does not like the fused joint type of operation. Oh dear!
